Home Coming

Have been away at the Romance Writers conference, held in Melbourne, for the last five days. Fellow author Renee Hammond and myself were due to fly home on Monday but had our flights cancelled and were forced to stay in Melbourne the extra night.

So what do girls do when given free time?

No, we didn’t shop. We put our feet up at the Lindt cafe and plotted the next couple of books in the Hells Gate series.

The conference was so much fun. It was great to be surrounded by so many wonderful people, all sharing the same passion for writing. Everyone was immensely friendly. Experienced authors were generous with their time and knowledge, and the chance to pitch to some of the leading publishers was an experience not to be missed.

I enjoyed it so much so that upon returning to our hotel on the even of the conference finish, Renee and I booked our accommodation for RWA ’16 in Adelaide.

Hoping to see new faces and old friends there next year.
